Status for www.euro-saunas.com

Hi Folks. Not sure where this will go, but I have tried on 3 previous occasions to submit our site www.euro-saunas.com under the directorys Special Purpose Rooms (now Climate Controlled Rooms) and Saunas , with no result.

I am trying to be as direct as I can about the description, without promotional words. Just today, the submission page would not complete and would come back with errors.

Any assistance is appreciated.

The good news it was listed in http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/British_Columbia/Localities/W/Winfield/ on Mar 15.

It appears several submissions were made in the general area of http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden and one remains somewhere in there, and when reviewed would be placed in the correct category, if your site is valid to be in Shopping. I found the site very slow to load, so I did not look at it much [I am not an editor that would review your site anyway], but I wasn't sure you sold retail, and could not see any prices.

I appreciate the quick response and information bobrat. We should be located on a different category. I did a search yesterday and results turned up nothing, so I tried submitting again yesterday and kept getting an error back after a few minutes following the submission. There was no confirmation.

We are a manufacturer and should be listed in a different directory than where we are. Does someone have a link to the instructions for changing the section that we are listed within? We should be in Special Purpose Rooms.

Please do not use a search function to find out whether sites are listed in the ODP - we are not a search engine, we are a directory. You can go to the category and see that it is listed.

If your business is physically located in Winfield, then you are most definitely not wrongly listed in that category.

But now here is the good news: you can be listed once in the Regional section of the directory (already there) AND in another so-called "Topical" area. So being listed in the once place certainly doesn't preclude you from a listing elsewhere.

The problem about getting removed from the various Shopping/Home_and_Garden categories is, I'm afraid of your making - when you submit to several categories, editors will go in and prune duplicate submissions - and sometimes it can be a little random which one is left. It is for this reason that we ask submitters very plaininly in the instructions BEFORE they submit a site, to find the one category which best fits.

There is also a submission waiting in the category you named which is awaiting editor review.

So I think you may well end up getting the result you want... and MORE!

Oh dear - no, nothing the matter with your submission, just too many status requests for the number of people who can answer them. Sorry about that!

As pointed out a few lines back - just too many status requests for the number of people who can answer them

So in order to alleviate that, we have a rule about leaving at least a month between requests [once you have an answer]. Not every few days.

I believe that the requisite time has passed to ask for a status on our submission.

I should also add and reconfirm that we are a manufacturer who sells through dealers and directly. We manufacture saunas of two types of technologies, the Traditional sauna and the Far Infrared sauna technology.

Does this mean that I need to wait another 6 months before requesting a status? Since our application, our website has undergone a redesign, with a great deal of original content added. All content is unique to us. The site is also much more efficient, with deeper content.
