Hi and Happy New Year to all the mods.

Can I get a status report on my retail site http://www.fabfurs.com I submitted it about 2 months ago to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Fur/ and again to http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Decor_and_Design/ about two weeks ago thinking the first fell through the cracks. I hope that wasn't fatal.

Your site is still awaiting review in Shopping/Clothing/Fur along with over 20 other sites.

I'm noticing that many members are being told to also submit their sites to a regonal catagory as well. Would you also suggest this for my site?
Would this cat be OK:
http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Clothing/

You should submit to http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/Quebec/Localities/M/Montreal/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/ as that is where you are based. http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Clothing/ is for stores/manufacturers with locations in 2 or more canadian states.

Actually, http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/Canada/Quebec/Localities/L/Lachine/ is where you would want to submit, not the Montreal category.

I agree the Lachine cat would be correct, but will I not languish in a queue, as there is no editor?

Yep, My reading and geography needs improving. Lachine it is.

The fact that no editor is listed does not mean a category is not edited. It is edited by any editor higher in the tree, and certain editors (like motsa) who can edit anywhere in the directory. Regional categories are, in general, better tended and less spam filled and therefore Regional may be a quicker listing.

Actually, if you reread my earlier response to you, you'll see that you were waiting for review in http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Fur (now you're one of a handful waiting in the Faux subcat there).

Hi, it's moi again.

It looks like mike919 has stopped reviewing http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Fur subcat Faux, no changes since Jan 03. I know the answer... "give it another month", right?
