Hi,
Since September 2002 that I've been trying to submit my site at Dmoz.org, without success.

I have also tried several times to contact both the Editors and Dmoz.org officials by email, without success.

Is there a problem with my site?

And why doesn't anybody reply to my emails?

I won't even ask you wich category you submitted to.

We don't list affiliate resellers, and/or sites offering products which are already present and taken (even with permission) from other sites.

All of which appears to serve the sole purpose of driving people through your many, many affiliate links. Gotta say I agree with ettore.

As I do not accept advertising at both my site and e-newsletter, it's pretty obvious that other sources of income - such as contextual affiliate programs - would need to be found, to pay the bills.

Yes, I pre-sell affiliate programs through original content.
That's precisely the whole business model of the site.

Anyway, I am glad that Google and Yahoo and AOL don't see it your way... If you type 'home business ideas', or 'business ideas', or 'profits', you'll notice that http://profits.cc shows up 'top 10' at these prestigeous search engines / directories, competing against more than 5 million sites.

C'mon Mr. Silva, the whole site is selling e-books on "how to make your site doing this and that" or "how to become a millionare writing ads that sell" etc. I can't se an ounce of unique content in the whole site.

Or are you trying to tell us that this page of your site is not a copypasted version (you just modified the pointers to the buy links) of this one ? Or are you suggesting that this other guide sold on your site should be considered unique content, when it is already found on several other sites, including this one ?

And please, as stated many times we don't care about how well positioned a site is in Google or other Search engines. ODP is a human edited directory. Something different.

Notice that we don't have anything against your business model (re-selling e-books), and I even think that your site is an acceptable example of good marketing verbiage and presentation. This said, there's nothing on the site that meets the unique content requirements which are needed to be listed in ODP.

After nearly 3,5 years editing in the ODP I think I have enough "expertise" to spot whether a site meets our standards for unique content. Besides, it happens that 80% of your site's "content" sort of falls into my area of expertise in RealLife™

Hi,

Can someone tell me if Profits.CC can be accepted at DMOZ?

My site has 1,400 pages fully indexed by Google, containing original articles and newsletter issues with original content.

It's also ranked 13,538 by Alexa.com

Well, I've tried to conduct a search here, in order to identify previous threads, but apparently nothing shows up.
Was it archived or deleted?
My search was conducted based on the keyword 'profits.cc'

You could have searched on your user name, specifying "By Display Name", and choosing a time period to cover your previous posts.
