I guess it's been rejected, and I think I know why, but it would be nice to know.

If it has been rejected, is it OK to change the content and resubmit.

Your submission is waiting for review in the first of the categories you mention. That category get a LOT of submissions, many of them quite spammy, so you may be in for a long wait. Then again, you may not - it's never possible to tell. The description you submitted is compliant with our guidelines, and that is something that can make an editor more likely to look at your site. In any case, wait at least one month, preferrably three, before returning to ask for status again. Thanks!

I've left it quite a bit longer than the three months I was asked to leave it for mainly because family issues have kept me occupied. I'm assuming at this stage that it must have been rejected.
