There is a rather large queue in http://dmoz.org/Business/Food_and_Related_Products/Foodservice_Equipment/, so the wait there is likely to be longer. I'm not sure if that matters in your case, however--because looking at your site leads me to believe it is a shopping site and not a business site. If it was large industrial sized products, I could perhaps see it being listed in business despite the shopping cart--but it looks to me like most of the products are smaller items that a consumer like me would purchase. For that reason, I would suggest you locate the shopping category that appears most appropriate as my guess is the editor in business is likely to forward it to shopping and you will end up waiting again. In addition, please wait a month after this about inquiring regarding your site, as your submission was just made on 27/Mar/2003. After submitting it to the correct shopping category you would need to wait a month and then inquire in this same thread.

I can see a submission of March 27th waiting for review. Any older submissions have been overwritten by this new one. The category is a bit backlogged. You may come back here after a month or two, if your site has not been listed by then.

As your company also has a retail shop, you may also be listed in the appropriate Regional category. This doesn't affect your chances of your other submission. Feel free to submit to Regional: North America: United States: New York: Localities: N: New York City: Brooklyn: Business and Economy: Shopping.

Yours,
Robert

Normally a site is listed in the one most appropriate place, with the exception being a second listing in Regional if there is a brick and mortar store also. What I see when looking at your site is a shopping site, as the majority of what I found when randomly surfing through was smaller items such as aprons, cutting knives, gloves, pizza trays, rolling pins, cook books etc. I tried refrigeration products and that section is under construction. What I see when I look is a shopping site with the majority of the content being smaller cooking products/accessories. That does not mean that an editor who is familiar in that specific area is going to see the same thing. My advice is just that, advice, it is up to you to wait for an editor more familiar in that area to evaluate further
