Your submission dated 20/Apr/2003 02:12:05 MDT is waiting with around 200 other sites. It is unlikely it will be reviewed in the near future, as that section of the directory is badly in need of volunteers. I would suggest checking back in a few months to see if there has been progress. Sorry to not have better news.

At the bottom of the category I submitted to, it says 'Volunteer to edit this category', rather than having the name of the editor. Does this mean the category doesn't even have an editor?

It merely means that there is no named editor specifically for that category. Every named editor higher in the category tree can edit in the category you submitted to, as can many other editors (metas and editalls). There is no ODP category without an editor.

Actually, I did some work in that category this morning, and did a huge amount of work there a month ago or so (there were twice as many sites waiting then). I know it causes submittors concern, but it really is very true that there is always someone who can and will at some point edit there. Every day numerous categories that say an editor is needed has someone editing in them regardless of the message.

The best advice I could give is to not resubmit anymore. You mentioned submitting months ago, and then submitting again on the day that you were inquiring about the thread. When you resubmit you rewrite your previous submission. Editors can sort in various ways (date, title, url, or choose randomly) when editors sort by submission date--which is for instance how I almost always edit--every time you would resubmit you would basically send your site to the end of the line. <img src="/images/icons/smirk.gif" alt="" />

There's still nothing new about the submission, I'm sorry.

But did you know your site might also be listed in another category? You offer not only online shopping, but also have a physical store. So you may also submit to Regional: North America: United States: Utah: Localities: R: Riverton: Business and Economy. That category isn't backlogged at all, so you might get listed there relatively fast. And in the end your site might be listed in both categories.

I've submitted to that category as well, about 90 days ago if I remember right...

It is not pending there, nor has it been reviewed or deleted. I would recommend resubmitting.
