I processed those last night...thank you for catching them <img src="/images/icons/laugh.gif" alt="" /> One of those urls were working when I checked them, but all the rest were either redirecting where they shouldn't or reading a 404 error. At any rate, can someone tell me how long the queue is for this subcategory?

This specific letter of the alphabar has around 50 sites waiting, but other letters have many more, some less...general merchandise is a huge spam magnet--and as a result is very backlogged.

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/General_Merchandise/F/ is probably the best place for our site, but if someone can recommend an alternate category (where the backlog may not be so bad) it would be truly appreciated.

We don't have a brick &amp; moarter store, so regional is out. We carry a lot of alternative/pagan/wiccan type stuff too, but there's no appropriate shopping category for that (?).

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Niche/Gay,_Lesbian,_and_Bisexual/ is out because while we're gay owned, we don't carry much strictly GLBT merchandise.

We don't do enough wholesale business to qualify for http://dmoz.org/Business/Consumer_Goods_and_Services/Gifts/ yet.

So many categories, so few choices. LOL.

Nope, looks like it is waiting in the most appropriate place already. If you submit elsewhere, someone will just have to move it to where it is now. Sorry.

Time for our monthly update I guess. Any idea on when our site will be listed?
There's some good news anyway. When we do a Google search for our company name "Flame, Foundry and Forge" it's returning about 1,200 hits. But our pages don't come up unless we search for www.ffandf.com. Strange.

No change on the status, I'm afraid, and no, we don't have an estimate on how long it will take to review any particular site.

However, the URL that will get listed will be http://www.ffandf.com/ as opposed to the http://www.ffandf.com/index.html?source=dmoz which you appear to have submitted.

I've also submitted another "Update URL" request to remove the adult gateway page for the "Naked Teens" site http://www.findgifts4less.com/.

Your site is still awaiting review, along with about 40 other sites.

Thanks for the hint concerning the adult doorway page. Someone already removed it a few weeks ago, you just won't see it before the public pages update.

Just checking status on having our site listed. Has there been any progress made on this category yet? Last I heard it was down to about 40 listings waiting.

Just asking because this is the first time I've seen the number go up since I stared watching in April when we submitted the first time.

Sorry...I did spend some time listing sites in that cat (and other letters of the alphabar there) but windharp's answer still applies.

October update... I see the category has another listing and is now back up to 45.

There's no way to predict that.

The good news is: it looks like someone waded in and tidied up behind the scenes. The number of sites competing for editors' attention is significantly smaller.

The bad news is: you still are not listed.

The good news is: you are still under consideration.
