My first submission was over 2 months ago and I just recently resubmitted in the past week or so to the following category:
Top: Arts: Entertainment: Publications and Media: Magazines and E-zines

The site is not waiting for review. Totally positive it was submitted to this category?

The URL also has no history of listing, moving, or deleting. You may re-submit and ask here again in a month or so if not listed.

[CORRECTION] The site "is" waiting in unreviewed of http://dmoz.org/Arts/Entertainment/Publications_and_Media/Magazines_and_E-zines/E-zines with over 300 other sites.

Please do not resubmit!

Well it seems at some point you also submitted it to http://dmoz.org/Arts/Music/News and it got moved from there to http://dmoz.org/Arts/Music/Styles/Rock/Alternative/Magazines_and_E-zines and it waiting review there.

Other than that patience, patience, patience.

As far as number of sites waiting, position in queue, etc. we changed the rules of the forum and no longer answer those questions

Hmm. Thank you for your quick reply. I am a little confused as to how my site wound up in the category you mentioned. For the past year, I have been under the assumption that it was in the following category, which I believe to be the most accurate category for www.glidemagazine.com:

Top: Arts: Entertainment: Publications and Media: Magazines and E-zines (83)

Do the editors move sites to different categories if they view the site was submitted to an incorrect category? Can this be the reason for the delayed review?

Again, any additional info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I feel as though I have been very patient thus far and will continue to be patient in the future.

Editors routinely move submissions to better or more appropriate categories. Still, we greatly appreciate it when submissions are made to the correct category.

Submissions to the wrong category can be a contributing factor to delays in being reviewed, particularly if the category is backlogged, and/or the editor who initally reviews the site does not have editing permissions in the correct category. In addition, within spammy categories, many editors make it a practice of usually moving sites, rather that reviewing them, becauge certain quality control checks are best performed from within the correct category.

The key words here are can be.
