just resubmitted

If that means you just submitted before your first question here [ 03-25-2004, 11:21 AM] , then you shouldn't be asking, yet as the guidelines said to wait a month

If you mean you just submitted as a response to my question [ 03-25-2004, 11:27 AM ] - I've no idea why you would have done that, there is nothing in the forum guidlines that tells you to do that. In fact technically, you now have to now wait another month for an answer. And if you did submit in the last day, and there had been a previous submission waiting there, you probably overwrote it.

Maybe another editor who has access to that category will be able to help you.

I meant that is where I have submitted twice before and waited a month both times and nothing. And as a response to your question I have resubmitted again and will check back in again in 30 days and if still nothing I want a proper explanation as to why I can't this site submitted.

I don't know if your site will be accepted or not, but you might want to reset those explectations. We are under no obligation whatsoever to go into any detail concerning why a site is or is not accepted. Our editorial guidelines are a public document, and you are always welcome to review that document.

We sometimes, on our own initiative, provide a bit of personal advice/guidance when we perceive that the submitter is asking nicely and does not have a clue. Demands don't get very far on this fora.

And finally, do not resubmit the site again unless specifically told to do so by an editor in this forum. The "proper explaination" for this is that every time you resubmit you are overwriting your previous submissions and resetting the clock back to zero if the editor chooses to sort the slush pile of submissions by date. Givbent aht wait times can range from two hours to more than two years, resubmitting on a repeated basis is usually a zero sum game for you.

The explanation is that this is a directory run by volunteers who happen to think it's a worthwhile project. It's not a service for you and any other site owner to get their site listed. It happens to be that we allow anyone to make suggestions about sites to be added, many of those sites are added, many are not. In many cases editors choose to add sites by pro-active searching for worthwhile sites, and those may take priority over "suggested" sites.

The "suggest a site" process is not a fastrack to get listed, there is no gaurantee a site will be reviewed within any time period, or in fact ever.

Jim, I am answering you in this thread instead of the new one you started. It seems that you might be confusing the submission guidelines with the guidelines for this forum.

First, you should never resubmit the site unless you are specifically told to do so by an editor in this forum.

The 30 day rule and the 6 month rule applies to status requests in this forum. They are not to be misunderstood as a time to resubmit. And they are based on the most recent submission if you do in fact resubmit. Because resubmitting often overwrites previous submissions, then the most recent submission would be the only submission we see.

We request for this forum that you do not start new threads concerning any particular site. If you do have to return for another status, you should bookmark the original thread and reply to it for any secondary status requests. And for you that would be this thread.

If you have indeed resubmitted your site, then you must wait 30 days before requesting the status. Hope this helps.
