Hi,

I have the following websitesite: http://www.projectieland.nl

I have add it to dmoz four about 3 times in the last 4 to 5 months.....I recently found out that that wasn't a smart move to register multiple times. Sorry for that.

The last time i posted my site underthe following categorie as far as i can remember:

World: Nederlands: Computers: Hardware: Randapparaten

but maeby that this categorie would have been better:

World: Nederlands: Webwinkelen: Kantoor

Can someone help me by telling me what the status is, and what i have to do to get in the listed in the dmoz database ?

Your site is waiting for a review in both categories.
Last suugestions are from 17th februari (webwinkelen/kantoor) and 2nd april (randapparaten).
As your site is an online shop it should be listed in the Webwinkelen category. For this reason I have deleted the other suggestion.

Just wait. Sometime in the future an editor will look at your suggestion and decide to list it or not. We can not predict when this will happen.

Can you please give me any idea how much time it will take normally ? I have added my site already many times last year, and also on the 17 of februari, ...... it is really important for me.

Please help. is dear any way on a fast subscribsion ?

If it is not important to USERS, it cannot be made important to us.

No, the ODP doesn't offer fast reviews. It offers reviews when a volunteer volunteers to review.

if you want a fast review, you need to look at directories that offer one (usually for money, but if it's important, then that is no concern)

We make no guarantees as to the length of time until a submission is reviewed. You'll have to be patient. There is no way for you to speed up the review process.

After 7 months my site is still NOT added ?

Dear,

Is this normal that it takes at least 7 months ?

The last time" see the editors reply" was in february ? I have also added my site before that date......

Can someone give me a usefull answer ?

i understand that i have to wait but.......

dear,

i now from some other webmaster that have subscribed in the same category that the didden't had to wait so long before there site was submitted....

so that is something that i do find a little bid strange....

i also filled oud a submit forum to become a editor , but the rejected my request.

i know that my site is on the waiting list.... but issen't there anyone how can give me a answer about how long it will take before my site will be submitted ? a indiciation would also be great...

Hi,

I have submitted my site at the beginning of this year, my site is still not submitted to the database.

WHY NOT ? AND WHY ARE OTHER SITES THAT HAVE SUBMITTED THERE SITE LATER THEN MINE ALREADY IN THE DATABASE ?

Can it be that the editor is a competitor of my business ? So he won't submit my site ?

Can someone give me a straight answer ?

There is nothing wrong. Your suggestion is still waiting for review.

Why not: probably no editor has looked at the suggestion yet
Why are other sites already listed: daily we add a large number of sites to the directory but even more sites are still waiting to be listed.
If your site is not listed yet is no prove of editor abuse.

The straight answer:
1) your site is waiting review
2) when this review will happen we can't tell because we don't know it ourself

What to do: wait, just wait

I'll give the bad news to you straight: there are sites that have NEVER been submitted that are already in the database! And there will, I can flat guarantee, be more of them before your site is reviewed.

You know what submittal date means to us? Absolutely nothing. Nada. Zilch. The only date that could possibly matter to us is site publishing date, and we don't know that.

So we have always just reviewed sites in whatever order seemed good at the time.

And it works out better that way. Nobody can manipulate the process to gain a quick review; and since different editors use different approaches, a site that might not be EVER be caught by some one specific approach won't therefore be left out eternally.

still not in dmoz, after again 6 months waiting

Can someone give me a clear answer ?

If my site still in review is , then i would like to hear that from someone who can give me a 100% straight answer.

You will get a 100% straight answer after April 16. We are really picky about the rule about 6 months between repeat status requests. Thanks! {moz}

You're welcome to contact AOL officials if you don't believe the editors. But this conversation has obviously long since ceased to be productive.
