bcinjurylaw.com is no longer listed on dmoz and I can't determine why. I have a record showing it was listed there in Aug. 2004. They run a Google Adwords campaign - could this have affected their listing on dmoz? They are a Vancouver area lawyer working for people with disabling injuries and they have a very thorough site with a lot of valuable information.

I don't want to waste your time, but if you could explain to me what I'm doing wrong when I check for the web site - I go to dmoz.org and enter bcinjurylaw.com in the search and it doesn't come up. That made me believe it wasn't listed on DMOZ. Am I misunderstanding how you check for a site listing?

You've really done nothing wrong. There, don't you feel better now? 
The best way to find something in a directory is to browse through the categories until you find the right cat, then you can see the sites that match that cat.
While we do have a very simple search function, it works about as well as pigs fly. It was not really designed for end users to search for listing, but rather for editors to help find the correct categories to stick stuff. It is, on occastion, somewhat adequate for that task.
A lot of people (including bunches of editors) have been caught using the Google search function. There is a way to restrict your search by domain (dmoz.org) and rather than just telling you how to do it, I'll let you enjoy the thrill of discovery on your own.
