Status of checkmate-boats.com

I've had no luck trying to get my site listed. I've submitted it to a few different categories thinking I might have made some kind of error causing it not to be listed.

I think it probably belongs in Boating Chats & Forums but it has no editor.

Any thoughts?

I'd say that's where it belongs, too. And a submission, dated today, is sitting in the unreviewed pool in that category.

An earlier submission to the less-appropriate http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Boating/Personal_Pages has been removed. Otherwise, there is no record that your site has been reviewed.

As has been discussed in many threads, you shouldn't be at all concerned that there is no listed editor on a category. No category is without an editor. A category can be edited by any editors with permissions in categories above it, and there are many editors (editall, meta) who can edit in the whole directory. Just be patient, and your site will be reviewed.

Please feel free to check the status of your after at least a month, and please reuse this thread when you do.

There may be a delay in your listing as Recreation/Boating is currently undergoing a reorganization and I have been concentrating on moving sites instead of reviewing new listings. Trouble is I have not been very active on carrying this out as "real" life has me tied up at the moment. There are other editors which are able to edit in this category so you are not waiting on me.

Also, I visited the site in question and you need to resize and compress the home page image as even on broadband connection the 2.34 mb image is heavy to say the least <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

I usually do not give advice about site design as I believe this forum was not intended for that purpose - I'm making an exception <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for pointing out the file size of the picture on the front page. That picture gets changed once a month and we accidently uploaded the wrong version of the photo of the month. It has already been fixed.

One thing I noted was that on the Resources main page it lists that there are zero Chats &amp; Forums, when in reality there are eleven.
