My site:
<url removed>

Was dropped from: https://dmoztools.net/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Hosting/Free/Directories/

After days of research I came to the conclusion that is was probably dropped as a result of not giving proper attribution to the Open Directory Project for using ODP data in a section of my site located here:
<removed>/resources

I since have added the "required credits" as explained here:
https://dmoztools.net/become_an_editor/

I currently comply with all ODP requirements and guidelines. I was wondering if you could lift my ban, if any, and give me a status on my resubmission.

Thank you for your time.

Your assumption is correct, I've asked someone to check your site.

Your site has been re-examined for the sole purpose of checking compliance with the license (at bobrats request) however I regret to note that the attribution does not contain fully functional category specific links as detailed with http://dmoz.org/become_an_editor/ and therefore it is still considered in violation and not listable within the ODP.

More specifically the attribution page at http://dmoz.org/become_an_editor/ highlights the variable $cat. This variable should be replaced with the category path that contains the ODP data being displayed. Feel free to browse some of the site listed within http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/.../Open_Directory_Project/Sites_Using_ODP_Data/ to see how the category paths should be formated.

Since this thread is now about appropriate use of ODP data, I've moved it to the "Using ODP Data" forum.

First, I would like to thank you for taking the time to check my site.

I have made the needed changes to comply. The $cat variables are formatted correctly.

Please recheck as I really would like a good standing with the Open Directory Project and would like to be listed. Could you please take action to have the ban on <url removed> lifted? In no way did I intentionally breech the license agreement. My heart was pure. I use the data as part of my site because I find the Open Directory Project to be awesome and I really want to be a part of it.

Indeed you have, and indeed they are. And the listing has been restored.

Off topic, but I think I'll mention it anyway: I really like the fact that you clearly identify which links are to your partners. Things like that help make the web a better place.

Thank you for noticing. I am actually adding that to every advertiser as well.

I greatly appreciate you restoring my listing! :)
I'm looking forward to seeing it reappear on the next update.
