Status of collectibles.tzo.com

Hi Folks. I have submitted our site (www.collectibles.tzo.com) many times before, but never got a listing, always within the "collectibles" umbrella. I have posted this time today to:

Can anyone confirm if I have done everything right this time please? I had wondered if using TZO might be an issue, but as we are listed just about everywhere else I'm not sure, please help.

I should have mentioned that as we sell "Christmas" collectibles, therefore any time soon would be a perfect time to get listed. Thanks for any help in this matter.

That's the problem, I don't understand why our site has been refused. I have checked the guidelines, and as far as I can see we are suitable. Can anyone give me the "actual" reason please?

Your site was found to be an independent representative of SMC (Special Merchandise Corporation) Giftworld a while ago.

Sorry, there must be some mistake, we don't even know who they are. We are an independant authorised stockist of Hutschenreuther and Berlin Design, we deal direct with them and have nothing to do with any other company. Is there some way that I can verify this to prove that we have no connection with these people? Please note that our contact information is listed on our website, where you will find that we are based in Romford UK (although my parnter is from Berlin hence the German collectibles). Thank you for your help in this.

PS Is it possible that these other people also use TZO as their Domain providers?

I just checked SMC's website, really, I have never heard of them, I don't understand why we would be associated with them. Thanks for replying BTW, at least I know why this has happened, just need to get this mistake resolved.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? I don't want to appear pushy, but naturally as there is some obvious mistake with this submission rejection I would like to get this resolved sooner rather than later. Like everyone else, I just want to get our site listed! Many thanks.

The reason nobody has answered might be that it is a difficult area which not many editors are that experienced in - I'm not, so I can't tell you anything about the rationales for the decision (and in any case this forum is not the right place for such discussion.)

Your site is waiting for review, and I have added a note for the reviewing editor pointing at this discussion. There is no way to tell when the review will take place - there's a lot of site suggestions waiting for review.

Thanks for your comments. I quite understand the situation, it is actually quite a relief to find that the site hasn't been added due to some sort of mix up. However, as I have been trying to get listed for probably 18 months or more (I know I should have made more enquiries before) it would be great if someone in the "know" could at least tell me how to "prove" that I have no affiliation with SMC and never have had. That way I can have some confidence that at least at some time I'll get our site listed. Thanks for your reply. Brian.

I looked and verified there are no SMC products on your site. It appears your site was identified incorrectly...I apolagize for this and to make up for this I have listed your site in Shopping/Antiques_and_Collectibles/Varied_Merchandise/New_Collectibles--it will show up at the next update. :flower:
