The previous thread was closed because we were unlucky enough to have the same company name as an American company. There is no connection between the two companies at all.

After being advised that it would not be likely that we would be listed I resubmitted our details as "Data Recovery Labs Australia".

I did this because the thread was locked and I was told basically that I was not to question the decision. Therefore I was unable to obtain any answers to the questions I had.

Have I done the wrong thing by re-submitting????

We would really like to be listed and just need a break.

Thanks for listening

As long as you keep submitting yours site, I have no reason to expect any action other than editors will delete the submission. That seems clear from the last post in the other thread.

http://www.datarecovery.net/

Data Recovery Services, with corporate headquarters located in Dallas, Texas and other offices located in Houston, Texas, Washington DC London, UK and Australia,

refers to an Australian office, and that link is your street address and the URL links to your site.

It's all one company, with worldwide branch offices. Now from a a legal point of view you might say that your branch is a separate legal entity in Australia. But from the ODP point of view it's one company, with the content spread across multiple sites.

I would like to thank you for your time and your clear explaination regarding this.

I was not trying to do anything underhanded, I was just trying to get our site listed as we are a separate legal entity in Australia and receive no help from them when it comes to the internet.

Again I do appreciate your clear explaination.

Regards and thanks

You do understand that saying things like "No, I only know they are a US based company cause I had a look at their web site. As far as I am aware there is absolutely no connection between us and them accept our company name." which makes it sound like you'd never heard of them before when you knew full well there was an affiliation between the two companies makes it appear as though you were indeed trying to be underhanded, don't you?

The current listing adequately represents the company. And ... motsa has a point, which you can really only address by ceasing the suspicious behavior.

Thank you very much for the reply however, my suspicious behavior as you put it is not as it seems.

I refer but to my original thread where hutcheson wrote

"it's listed (but under a different URL)."

I then searched and found another company called Data Recovery Labs, I beleived that this was the company hutcheson was talking about. This is why I wrote

hutcheson,

The Data Recovery Labs that is listed is a US based company. We are a completely different company based in Brisbane, Australia.

I would really like to have our site listed therefore what do I need to do to make this happen?

Thanks

I believe my "suspicious behavior" as you put it, was more of a misunderstanding due to the fact that hutcheson was not as clear with the information provided as could have been.

If I had been told that www.datarecovery.net was the site that hutcheson was refering to in the first place then hutchenson could have saved us all alot of work.

As we are a seperate company from Data Recovery Services (www.datarecovery.net) I did not see a problem with submitting our URL.

I now know this is not the case.
