Status of editor application - badjuju

I applied to become an editor for: Top: Computers: Internet: Web Design and Development: Designers: Basic Service: X
Can someone please let me know the status of my application? This category does not currently have an editor so I'm not sure who would review my application.

You applied yesterday, yes your application is still pending. There are hundreds of pending applications, sometimes you can expect to wait up to about a month. Which is pretty slow, I know, but applications are reviewed by only a handful of very experienced editors called "metas" and staff. We're volunteers too so there is only so much we can do about the long-ish wait times. Patience! <img src="/images/icons/grin.gif" alt="" />

Oh by the way, thank you thank you for actually giving sample URLs who's titles start with X... so many get that part wrong. <img src="/images/icons/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Okay forget that... your application was way too good to ignore. I edit in that area too (a few levels up) and it's in such huge need of help. Welcome to ODP.

Please read the submission information for your category and the three sister web design categories. There was a re-org and we dumped all the unreviewed in Basic Service, so you'll run into sites that need to be moved to other types of web design (full service, freelance, dynamic)... blah blah blah.. <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" /> if you have any questions feel free to contact me. (also metas jazz and donaldb edit there too and will be pleased to help you)
