To whom it may concern,

A few months ago I submitted my site, http://www.hemaka.com/. I don't remember to what category. I have re-submitted it to:

San Diego

We are a small web-technology consulting firm providing friendly and dependable service.

Please update the page to reference our company too. Thanks you...

Can't tell you about the site, but you might want to change "Internet Technology Development Parnter" before a customer sees it.

Hemaka.com

Hello,

First of all, do not intend to direct this to the editor/reader but rather wish that I am expressing my frustration to give light to my point of view. :lightbulb

I have tried for over a year to get hemaka.com onto this directory and just get shafted everytime.

Please take a look at my site: Hemaka.com

While I will be updating the look, I am rather happy with the current one. I built it myself, on my own time, with my own imagination. If this is a public forum please allow the public to be different. I keep getting criticisms from this directory about the way my site looks or works. I just don't understand it. I just want to get it in this directory. Yes, I know I have not put the HTML DOC TYPE, etc... its not perfect W3C, and neither is this site! My site works fine in firefox, sufari, ie... there is no profanity... I'm a small business! What's the problem?! Why is this site rejected.

Hopefully the reader/editor find that the site is okay now and perhaps they even like it! :D

------------

I just re-submitted. Here is the direct link:

http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Consultants/

Here is the category:

Top: Computers: Internet: Consultants

Here again is the description I submitted:

Hemaka is an internet consulting company.

---------

Thank you for our time. Have a nice day.

Babak.

I have tried for over a year to get hemaka.com onto this directory and just get shafted everytime.

No sure how you got shafted. There are more than 590,000 submission folders and because you can't remember where you originally submitted, no volunteer is about to look through each folder for your submission.

Now that you have resubmitted (to two different categories), we now have some common ground.

Return to this thread in exactly one month, and we will check on the status of your mist recent resubmisison for you. This is the same requirement that we have for everyone -- the initial status check is 30 days after the most recent submission. There are no exceptions to this rule.

This is also why you did not receive a status check after your January 11 resubmission. You were asking immediately after making that resubmission. Now that we are aware of two categories, you should stop resubmitting.

Why is this site rejected.

We never said it was rejected.

ADDED:

It appears your original submission was found in Computers/Internet/Consultants and was moved to Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development
So now there are three copies floating around out there.

I see! Thanks for your help. I will return in a month to finish this. Having learned about the process I will know how to properly handle this situation in the future; perhaps write up a "dmoz.org submission for dummy's" article or something like that. Sorry for my confusion.

Thanks very much!

Babak.

BTW, so what happens to the previous submission? Do I mention them too know that we know where they all are?

If you know of ther submissions, please give us a list. Your status report next month should embrace all three and any others you list -- then we can determine which ones to keep for future review and which ones are duplicates.
