Cleaning out duplicate submissions your submission was deleted from Arts/Movies/Reviews. It is waiting for review in Arts/Movies/Reviews/Review_Hubs.

hi

would there be any benefit to listing in a regional page - in terms of getting listed faster than in my current submission?

i could potentially be listed in a country-specific part of the directory

I don't see relevance to a specific country on your site -- or to be exact, I don't see relevance to a single specific country on your site.

But, if there is such content, and you make it easily accessible, then a Regional listing would be appropriate, and wouldn't hurt your Topical listing.

Added: It should be pointed out that I don't presently edit in a category you could be listed in, unless the Regional category is in California (United States) or Tunisia, so that my opinions are not at all definative.

Thanks arubin!

i have seen mention elsewhere that the main criteria for regional listing is the actual RL address of the business/service/whatever... is that correct?

otherwise, no, there isn't much region specific material at hoopla.nu

thanks

Perhaps I'm not good at explaining myself, but for a Regional listing, a site must either have relevance to the Region in question, or have some impact on the region. For example, an Internet store, where the owners live in location X, (but with no actual storefront or walk-in business), with a wherehouse in location Y, might be listed in Y, if there are people who work there. It should not be listed in X.

The site of an individual artist living in X might by listable in X, even if all contacts are through his agent in Y. The site of an individual movie reviewer living in X might, conceivably, be listable in X. The site of a movie review hub located in X (which seems to be you) does not seem relevant to "X", to me.

Try http://dmoz.org/guidelines/regional/ and http://dmoz.org/guidelines/regional/listing.html for the "official" word.

hi again, and sorry to be a pain

i was wondering about whether a review hub such as mine, could have individual reviews listed in the http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/Titles section?

eg.
http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/Titles/O/Ocean's_Twelve/
could i submit my review page for O12 to this section? http://hoopla.nu/films/o12/o12index.html

i haver looked at http://dmoz.org/Arts/Movies/Titles/desc.html and wasn't sure whether my pages would suit - it seems other sites listed in the O12 page for example are pages from a larger site about movies, with links to trailers and IMDb and such, which is similar to mine

can anyone help?

thanks in advance :)

Our current trend is to do far less of that kind of deeplinking than has been done in the past. So these days we're removing old links like that, not adding new ones.

If the editor feels (for an otherwise poorly represented movie) your pages are worth adding, he'll add it.

But the submittal policy is: don't submit deeplinks.

The unwritten exception is: without asking first (which you did, thanks.) But this time, please don't submit them.

Perhaps. Since, for Ocean's 12, we list IMDb, Killer Movies, the Z Review, and a dead site, you might qualify. I wouldn't suggest it without a specific OK from an Arts/Movies editor, though.
