I think you are perhaps labouring under a misconception.
Submitting a site to ODP (DMOZ) is only a suggestion for inclusion in the Directory. It guarantees no inclusion in our Directory or any other search facility/engine (which we are not) and extends no submissions beyond us. As several search engines use our data, it often turns out that sites listed in ODP are indexed on an (ir)regular basis by the SE's. If you wish to submit your site to specific search engines, then you will have to do it yourself, or have one of the many sites/firms/individuals who do SE submissions do it.
Sites submitted dto ODP may be reviewed in the next 5 minutes, 6 months, or more - depending on the category and the work load of the editors. 6 months is a guideline to re-inquire after submitting so that there is a reasonable time period and people aren't asking every second day about their submissions (and some would, not necessarily you) which only takes away from time editors would likely otherwise spend working on the directory.
