Hi

I submitted my site (http://users.pandora.be/hotelharmony) more then 3 months ago in the category http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe...ties/Ghent/Travel_and_Tourism/Lodging/Hotels/.

I see the category isn't updated for about a year. In world of travel, with is a very strong growing sector, this is not a good thing. Is it possible to at least take a look at the category? And Update it.

And if you would, you may enter my site in it. It is very importend for us to list our site. Because it is a hotelsite...

Greetings

As surfers get more sophisticated about the problems of viruses and system security, they will become less tolerant of sites that require ActiveX and other untrustable components (which Flash is rapidly becoming!)

The ODP lists such sites (still), but many editors don't review them (for the obvious reason -- we visit lots of sites with no visible reputation, and we have to be ahead of the curve on dealing with system security issues).

In the time remaining before there's an actual hotel for the site to be about, perhaps you might consider making the site more surfer-friendly. If you're lucky, both the hotel and the site will be ready for visitors by the time the site is reviewed. (If not, you can resubmit when they are, with only a small blot on your reputation.)

Sorry, I meant to mention that the site is waiting review, no need to resubmit.

Hi,

Any news of the status of my site yet?

I know that I have to wait 6 months, but it is because I saw via a programme that someone of the editors checked my site...

That is why I am a little bit curious :)

thx in advance

The presence of an editor from the ODP on the site doesn't change the FORUM rules.

I should mention -- there are many reasons why an editor would visit a site and not make a decision about listing it. And ... an editor intending to make a decision may visit without leaving a distinguishable trace in the logs. So my recommendation is to ignore the server logs and focus on something else more hi-tech, more sophisticated, and above all more reliable. Without making a more specific recommendation, I note that goose liver malfunctions, or patterns in tea leaves, or hallucinogen-induced dreams would all fit those criteria.
