about a month ago and still haven't heard anything
You won't - it will be reviewed then listed or rejected and that is the extent of what an editor will do. It may take 2 minutes or 2 years to review, there is no way to predict.

For the moment no information is available yet on this suggestion, please check back in a month and don't suggest it again to that category in the meantime. If there is still no information at that time an editor will advise you of your options.

However, what I can guarantee with total certainty is that your site will not be listed in the category you suggested it to. Please read the description of that category very carefully. The site does not qualify. You can have one more go at suggesting the site to the correct category - the locality where your business is located. Return here in not less than a month and check it has been received there. Thanks.

My locality is that the business I run in web design deals with national, international and multinational clients, and you're saying that the business is not national in scope ?

"This category is for web design sites, such as directories, that are national in scope" from the DMOZ description.

This category is for web design sites, such as directories, that are national in scope ...
Are you a directory? If not this does not apply

... and for web design and development companies that have offices in multiple states.
Do you have offices in multiple states? If not this does not apply.

As a general rule companies are lisited in Regional categories based on office addresses not the location of customers.

It's up to you where you submit. But in the category description it also says

Please note that submitting your site to the wrong category or the wrong level (e.g. submitting here when you should have submitted to the locality) can significantly delay the review of your site so please ensure that you choose the level carefully.

In the end it's up to an editor where you get listed.

We are trying to help you here. I repeat, please find your LOCALITY category and submit there, it is the only category your site will be considered for. Forget where other sites that are not yours may be listed, it is irrelevant to your own case, there may be many reasons for that listing, including error or listing in a bygone age and not so far redistributed or they once had more than one office in more than one state and the change has not yet been dealt with.

http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Oceania/Australia/Victoria/Localities/R/Ringwood/Business_and_Economy/ - I presume would be your locality. You can either wait until an editor moves your site to that category. That might be a year or two off, and then it waits for another editor to review and list it, so add a month to another couple of years. Or you can suggest it there directly and cut out the first year or two's wait. Entirely your choice but I know what I would be doing. Editors in Regional...Australia are very strict about these matters so debating the point really achieves nothing.

BTW if you are talking about the site in Byron Bay, last time it was reviewed it had offices in Qld and NSW. It has now been moved onto Byron Bay.

Thanks. I've changed the locality to suit and resubmitted.
