Please could you let me know the submission status for:
http://www.allcitylimosf.com/

Site was originally submitted on October 2004, yeah - my mistake I submitted it to few categories, sorry did not realize that it makes your life harder, so about 6 weeks ago after our site did not appear anywhere, site was submitted here:

http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_Amer..._Area/Transportation/Limousines_and_Shuttles/

Do we need to submit it again or just wait a bit longer?
Please forgive us for beeing not patient :)

Thanks for your help and hard work!!

Waiting there. One duplicate has been deleted. No need to resubmit.

And I'll give the usual spiel. The ODP is no substitute for your own promotional efforts. At best, the ODP may not make much absolute difference, and will make no RELATIVE difference at all: we'll help you no more than we help all of your competitors.

If you need site promotion, you can start now (if you haven't already) looking for people that provide it -- it's not as if there aren't plenty of them without us horning in.

Wow! it was fast! Thanks!

You are right about promotion, so far we just tried free sources for a few months by now... well, you get what you pay for :)

Thanks again! - I feel so much better now! at least you have not forgotten about us :)

I fear you may have misunderstood the message. All that has been said, is that the site is in the system and available to be reviewed. It has not been reviewed, and there is way of telling when and/or if that will happen.

Oops :) does it mean it may never be reviewed, even if this is in the system waiting?
Ok, now I get lost - what is the way of telling when/if it may happen? Everything we wanted for right now is to get listed in ODP category... and stay in there, isn't it enough to just submit the site?

Sorry for dummy questions :)

Sites get reviewed by volunteer editors who work when they wish to; each editor works in one or more categories. There is no schedule, so an editor can choose which category to work on and which sites to review. That means that it is totally unpredicatable when a site is reviewed. During the review of a site it may be accepted - in which case it becaomes avaialble for public view.

Or it may be rejected for a number of reasons.

Of an editor may decide it is in the wrong category, and move it to another category, where it may have to be reviewed by a differnt editor.

This process takes anyway from a day or so, to much much longer.

If you don't see your site listed, you may ask again in six months - that's just a rule for this forum and has nothing to do with how long your site may wait for review.
