Can someone please give me an update on my submission? I submitted http://www.beachcatalog.com probably about 3yrs ago under http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Swimwear/

After a year waiting I decided to submit to a different category: ...Shopping/Clothing/Swimwear/Bikinis/, hoping to get some attention from maybe another editor. My site was finally indexed and then, I asked the editor to please switch me over to the Swimwear category. Never got an answer and my site got off the whole directory.

Have I been banned? Could someone help me please?

Thanks a lot!!!

Apparently your content was submitted under a number of different aliases; the ODP listing was made under one of the others.

If a visitor to the site can clearly see the listed URL is not the "main" URL, then you can submit an "Update URL" request to change to the preferred URL. But make sure the visitor can verify the correct URL by looking at the OLD URL -- otherwise we won't change the URL. (That's our way of protecting webmasters against people who steal their content and then try to steal their ODP listing.)

A month after the Update URL request is made, you can ask about its status, just as for "Add URL" suggestions. Please use this same thread, for the convenience of our editors.

I haven't done that...

Thank you very much for replying! I haven't submitted my website under any "alias". In fact, I don't have any aliases associated to this website. Is there any way that you can explain or find out the alias used???

I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

All of that isn't germane. It's not about you, or about anybody's site submittals. The decision is based on the company offering the goods and services, and our judgment about the website that is most appropriate to give information about it (Preferably, because it's the most authoritative website; it's nice if it is also most complete, but we won't be manipulated by disassembled websites.)
