Hello compostannie,

My site ( http://www.bigstick.ca ) was once listed in DMOZ in the category:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Sports/Hockey/Ice_and_Roller/Equipment/Jersey_Specialists/

However, the link was dead as we had changed our web address. Since I was unaware we were even listed there, the link was never updated. When I finally discovered DMOZ and tried to change the URL using the "update listing" link, it came back saying "no such URL exists" (or something similar).

In effect, the dead link was still listed but it would not allow me to update it.

Not sure what to do, and not finding the answer in the FAQ's, I submitted it using the "submit URL". I realize now that was not the right method of correcting it.

Please let me know the course of action I should take next.

OK, bigstick.ca was NEVER listed in that category. The history of www.bigstick.on.ca fits what you describe -- added, and then removed when it didn't work.

bigstick.ca has no history except as was mentioned. It is NOT waiting for review there (but presumably is SOMEWHERE.)

I'd suggest the site again, and put in brackets at the end of the suggested description: [multiple submittals made. herewith abject apologies, complete with sackcloth and ashes. this is probably the right category]

The AA and S&A are optional.

If you do that, next time the editor goes mole-whacking, chances are better that the OTHER mole will get whacked.
