I submitted the site almost 3 months ago and am anxiously waiting for it to be included in the directory.

Sorry the first post was missed: and yes, bumping is precisely the protocol.

The site is waiting there for review. You can bump the thread again in six months for another status check: as for all sites, we don't know when it might be reviewed -- it could be today, or after a year or three.

If you're concerned about site visibility in the meantime, there's much you could be doing in the meantime (elsewhere, of course -- you've done all that is necessary here). Don't just wait for someone else to act -- use the ODP as it was intended to be used, as a way of finding other enthusiasts with whom you can cooperate to promote your common interests.
