It was submitted to:
http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Regions/South_West/Government/
a couple of weeks back, but has been submitted previously with no results.

Did you receive a confirmation screen after submitting the site? If yes then it has been received. If not then it is likely something went wrong in the submission process so repeat the process and make sure you get that confirmation screen. That's the replacement for the submission status checks - the DIY version! Once received all sites are reviewed at some point, no need to resubmit again.
