status of http://www.dailypast.com and query too

Hi

I submitted http://www.dailypast.com/ to the following category:

http://dmoz.org/Society/History/By_Topic/Alternative_History/

it was probably about three weeks ago. I know I should wait but I have realised this evening that I shouldn't have put it there as Alternative History refers only to sites which talk about how history would have been different if...if...whereas my site combines current affairs and history and thought that made it "alternative".

I would like to re-submit to another category and wanted to know if I had to do it from the dmoz site or could change it here. I would think this is the best category:

http://dmoz.org/Society/History/Education/Lesson_Plans/

as the site is aimed at educators and most of the articles come with classroom materials. Or simply...

http://dmoz.org/Society/History/By_Topic/World_History/

My site is a bit particular and I am not really sure where to put it. When I saw "alternative history", I jumped at it and should have read the description of the category. I apologise for that.

Any help now would be much appreciated.

It's been moved to the Lesson Plans category, where it's now waiting review.

thanks for that and sorry once again for not being more careful first time round.

Are there many in that category or not?

Doh <img src="/images/icons/blush.gif" alt="" />
It's a very short queue. (You could count them without taking off both mittens.)

Re: status of http://www.dailypast.com

is it moving at all? I notice there doesn't seem to be an editor in that category.

Will it be added by an editor in a category above or does it not work like that?

Thanks a lot

Re: status of http://www.dailypast.com

It hasn't been reviewed yet. Any editor of a parent category as well as editall and meta editors can review your site, so don't worry. But it's not possible to say when this will happen.

Re: status of http://www.dailypast.com

Any change yet? I noticed today that the category has been updated on April 14 which, I think, is after the date that the application was moved across to that category...am I right in thinking that? Does it mean it wasn't looked at on that occasion?

Is there still no editor for that category?

Thanks a lot for taking the time out to help me with this issue.

Re: status of http://www.dailypast.com

There are many types of editing activity in a category which will change the date, one of which is someone reviewing sites.

If someone did review sites, they might well have started reviewing yours, but come to no conclusion, or they might have been reviewing a completely different site.

Hope this explains things.

Thanks for that Alucard. Can you just tell me how many sites I am waiting with in that category.

Appreciated.

Certainly - the total number of submissions could be counted on one hand wearing mittens... and still leave the thumb free to do something else... :)

has there been any movement yet? It still looks like that category is without editor and hasn't been touched in four months.

Thank you.

Re: status of http://www.dailypast.com

OK, that is good news.

Thanks a lot to all those at dmoz who give their time to produce a quality product. It makes it more worthwhile the time that WE give to, hopefully, produce quality sites for everyone.
