First submission was in nov of 2004. I then resubmitted my site with two others in Jan 2005 as it does not appear that this category has an editor ( so I thought I would
volunteer).

Although the category is not abondoned, it certainly could use a dedicated editor. So if you are interested, feel free to apply.

Just to emphasize that point.

ODP does not have assigned positions, or editorial territories, monopolies, ownerships, or anything resembling that.

EVERY category can use your help -- if you can show you're willing and able to contribute something positive to it. It doesn't matter how many other people are contributing already! It doesn't have to be abandoned, dormant, or neglected first. It only has to be incomplete in ways that you can redress.

As a volunteer, your only position, status, reward, reputation is the work you do. And that can never detract from someone else's similar work: it's additive, not competitive.
