http://www.dmoz.com/Regional/North_America/United_States/Travel_and_Tourism/Lodging/Cabins/
at least im pretty sure I did.

Did I submit it correctly?
any help would be appreciated.

There was not a "North Carolina" sub-directory and that's why I submitted it to that location

I have taken your suggestion and moved the site to the appropriate*catagory.
