Hello,
I would really appreciate if someone can check on my site submission! I submitted over a month ago but I have not heard any response and my site is not listed in DMOZ yet.

My website is HighDPI.com -- http://www.highdpi.com

I think my submission was to following DMOZ category:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Photography/Services/Digital/

or possibly:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Photography/Services/Digital/Photo_Scanning

The first category is more accurate because my website is geared toward film, negative, and slide scanning. We do not scan photographs. If there were a Services/Digital/Film_and_Slide_Scanning category, my site would fit best in there, but that category doesn't exist.

Thank you very much for looking into my submission,
Brian

Thank you both for your responses! I will check back later and use this thread.

* I'm sure I'm not the first to mention it: Could DMOZ could make their queue's publically visible? Or if not completely visible, could DMOZ allow someone to enter their URL and see its position in the queue? That seems like it would save you all a lot of work. It would also be nice for submitters since they wouldn't feel like they were bothering anyone when they checked on how their site was doing.

Does my category currently have an editor? I looked at the bottom of the page and saw: "Volunteer to edit this category." ... If it doesn't have an editor, are submissions to that category still being reviewed?

Thanks Again!

That's what this forum is here for and any editor choosing to answer does so because they want to. It's not bothering us.

Regarding the category having no listed editor, every editor in its parent categories and all editalls and metas can edit in the category so it isn't orphaned.

Hello folks!

It's been a month since I last inquired and two since I submitted my site to DMOZ. Can you check and let me know if my site is still in the queue and possibly where it is in the queue?

Thanks a bunch!
Brian

Hi folks!

I'm (just) past three months since I submitted and can't find my site in the directory yet. Can someone please check and make sure I'm still in the queue? Is there any way to tell if I'm close or give a guestimate for when the site will get included? I'd really appreciate that!

Thanks a bunch,
Brian

Sorry, no change, your site is still waiting in that category. Editors are all volunteer, there are just too many variables to ever give a time estimate.

Hi there,
Is my site still in the queue? Is it getting close?

I realize the wait is completely out of my hands, but I'm starting to get discouraged :-( ... Any chance the site will make it into the DOZ listings "soon" ?

There is a chance. There is just no way of estimating what it is.

It's the same for about half of all submittals. (For the other half, there's no chance. There's never a way of estimating the chances.)

Hello DMOZ admins and editors,
Is www.highdpi.com still in the queue? Any chance of getting listed in the directory soon? Thanks for letting me know, -B

Hi there!
I haven't checked in more than three months, but it seems www.highdpi.com is still not listed here. Can someone check on it and let me know if the site is still in the queue?

Thanks so much!
