Read the submittal policies. Basically, there is no need to do anything further with respect to the ODP, and there is no possible value to doing anything further. So following the submittal policies is good for you and for us. Submit once, wait 6 weeks or more, submit once again. You can, if it makes you feel better, ask in this forum about the status once every six months. But before you do, ask yourself: what will I do differently if they tell me the site is rejected versus still waiting? And if you can't answer that question, then for all PRACTICAL purposes, the status question doesn't matter.
This will free more time for you to promote your site at any of millions of other web sites and non-internet promotional venues. The ODP is a very small part of a SUCCESSFUL website promotion campaign: it obviously cannot give you an advantage over competitors, since we'll happily list them also. Take note, and don't obsess over the insignificant!
