Hello,

I submitted: http://www.janta.co.uk to http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Directories/ if I remember rightly a few months ago and was wondering the current status.

Your suggestion has been received and is awaiting review. We can't predict when that might be. If it hasn't been listed in 6 months, please ask again in this same thread.

This doesn't affect its listability, but are you aware that it's broken when viewed in a modern browser such as Firefox or Mozilla?

The site has been reviewed on two occasions by two different editors. They both decided not to list the site.

Is there any reason/clue why the site was rejected; lack of content, design, wrong category etc...

Will it get re-reviewed in the future or do I need to re-submit?

ODP is a large scale general directory. We have no problems with listing other tightly focused directories but we don't see how listing small general ones will enhance its value. The bar is set pretty high these days I'm fraid.

I have just viewed my log and I do hope that the category in the URL below was a previous category viewed!!!!!

p.s When Janta finaly becomes big enough in December 2034 do I need to resubmit the URL or does it always stay waiting.

The bar is rising fast enough that -- if you don't feel like Alice being dragged along by the Red Queen -- you're underestimating the growth of the rest of the internet.

So long as a website is on the net, it is subject to review. But once we've reviewed a submittal and decided not to list, we delete the submittal so as not to waste other editors' time on it.
