I submitted the above site on November 18, 2004 and was told on February 1, 2005 that I should expect to wait approx 6 months to know whether the site would be accepted. I have recently substantially updated the site and was wondering if that would delay its review or would have no affect on it. Thank you

You have to wait six months to ask again in this forum, in the meantime you are free to check dmoz.org yourself to see if the site is added.
The site will be reviewed at some point in time, and assessed at that time based on it's content. Changes made before it is reviewed will have no effect.
