Hi,

I would like to know the status of the following if possible:

Submitted to either:
http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Transportation_and_Logistics/Directories/
or
http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Transportation_and_Logistics/Trucking/Directories/

The site was first sumitted over a year ago, but we were getting an error message so I just can't be sure if it went through. I just became aware of this forum and I am hoping someone can please check and let me know the status. I am not 100% certain about the category as my notes from this time cannot be located, but it should be correct.

Your submission of May, 2003 awaits review in the first of those two categories. I surmise, but can't say for sure, that it overwrote the earlier submission which appears to have been moved from the second category to the first sometime last year.

I am sorry to hear that we may have caused a delay in getting listed by re-submitting, but we were getting a server error upon submission and were never sure if it went through. I wish I knew of this forum before...

Could you please tell me how many listings are awaiting review in this category and/or a possible timeline for inclusion (if accepted, and I know you cannot know for sure)?

I am very knowledgable in this area and was considering applying to be an editor for this category. Can you tell me if one is needed? If not, is one needed for a related category?

I not only can't say for sure, I can't even come up with a wild guess on when any site will be reviewed. It all depends on who decides to edit where, and when, and how much.

For information on becoming an editor, I'd suggest you lu ... uh, I mean browse this forum.

Thanks for the reply, but the only reason I asked for the additional info is that I see many posts here that were replied to with a number of submissions waiting to be reveiwed in the category and thought that might be helpful in deciding a good time to wait before coming back here to bug again. If possible, can someone please take a look and let me know?

There are nearly a hundred sites, so the wait is likely to be awhile. I would wait 2-3 months before asking again.

His sandwich does look good, doesn't it? :D

Now in addition to being frustrated, I'M HUNGRY... doh!

Since the record seems to show that it has been in que since last year, if anyone feels so inclined to pick up the ball on this submission I would be very gratefull.
Otherwise I might have to hold that sandwich hostage. <burp> :shocked:

I would like to also submit to the proper regional section. Since our company offers directories covering freight transportation exclusively in North America and have several offices located in North America is this acceptable? If so which is better?

I really appreciate any advice on this as it does not seem like our other submission will be reviewed anytime soon and I don't want to further delay it or cause delay in our regional submission by submitting to the wrong regional section.

Thank you Robert. I have submitted to that regional section and will wait patiently and hope whoever is editing that category is not MIA or completely back logged.
