Hello!

I have seen that almost all the other search engines available on net is picking up data from dmoz.org. Now my problem is that i have changed the description and other important information of the website recently to achieve higher rankings on the search engines like google.com etc.

But in dmoz.org my listing has old description and title. Which is not being updated by dmoz.org after resubmitting it. Now all other search engines which depends on dmoz.org are also not updating.

So i just want to know when and how its going to get updated ?

Thanks!

Hey Tapan,

The description and title of your DMOZ listing is not taken directly from your website, meaning that it will not match exactly to what you have in your HTML for the site. The description in DMOZ is edited by editors to ensure that it complies with the DMOZ guidelines.

If your URL had changed you could submit a request to have it updated however the title and description are ultimately decided on by the editor who reviews your original submission. If you are submitting your site over and over again hoping that your title and description will be changed you run the risk of being considered a spammer.
