The only way we can check on the submission is if you give us a link to the category to which you submitted the URL.

Actually, I found the submission in http://dmoz.org/Arts/Art_History/ where it is a part of a short list.

I'm not clear on the submission because the site will not appear on any search in the open directory - even searching for the exact URL. My intention is that a search for keywords such as "mexican masks" would find the site since it is dedicated exclusively to this subject. Question: will a listing in the open directory allow searches for related keywords as I have submitted? Thanks much for your assistance.

If and when this site is added, as the site name is obviously "Mexican Masks", if the editor uses that as the site name yes.

Maskman, one thing I need to comment on from your post - we do not concern ourselves with searching or keywords in the ODP - we will list a site with whatever description is most appropriate for the site, according to the editing guidelines.

You have already received the status for your site: it is waiting for review. Posting in this forum will not get your site listed any faster; it is just a way to let you know the status of your site's submission. I know you have been waiting for a while, but many other sites have also been waiting -- some much longer than yours. I'm afraid you'll just have to be patient until a volunteer editor has the time to review your site.

If you want to check back on the status of your site, please wait at least another month, and please re-use this thread if you do.
