Getting the same number of listings as Gorp is simple, it involves merely three things:
1) Improve your site navigation until it is as easy an intuitive as theirs (in the opinion of a disinterested bystander, and IMO it's not even close right now.)
2) Add content until you have more content, of at least comparable quality. (unless the navigation is even worse than I thing, you're not remotely close here either.)
3) [Most Important of all!] Have finished both of the above steps by November 2000, so that the uniqueness of the site would be measured by what was available on the web at that time.
Failure to complete ANY ONE of these tasks successfully would make your goal impossible to achieve.
Another attitude adjustment you need to make when communicating with people who don't share your proprietary interest in the site: "Gorp is who you see as your competitor" is not at all equivalent to "anyone else on earth would ever suppose you were Gorp's competitor." And the latter question is what an editor would be judging.
