It is being found on a Google search but there is no description as to what is on the site - please can you tell me why that is and how to rectify this.

We have nothing to do with google, so we can not tell you why your site does not have a description on the google search. If you want to know that, go to google and find out.
As for your site submission status to DMOZ, the category you listed as the place where you suggested your site does not allow you to suggest your URL.
Please provide the correct category you suggested your site to so we can give you the correct status of your site.

The above link is incorrect; the correct link should be http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Children's.
Sorry, but your submission is not waiting review in that category, nor can I tell that it has been touched by another editor.
It would probably be safe to resubmit, unless you think you might have submitted to another category.
If you submit again, you can do a status check, using this thread (please) in 30 days.
