I'm curious as to the status of http://www.snuggledown.com which I originally submitted several months ago. (I resubmitted recently as it had not yet been listed and there were substantial improvements made to the site during the interim.)

The submission date shows as a week ago, your new submission overwrote the old one--which means if an editor sorts by submission date (they don't have to) it esentially sends your site to the end of the line. I would recommend not resubmitting as it is still pending. Editors rewrite your description anyway to meet guidelines so it isn't likely to matter. That category is very backlogged and the site is not likely to be reviewed for awhile. I would recommend waiting 3 months and returning for a status update then. Sorry not to have better news

Your site is still waiting for review in that category. And it is listed in Regional: North America: United States: Localities: M: Menlo Park: Business and Economy: Shopping since September 30th!

Wow--that's fantastic! Thanks! I had no idea that it had been approved, partly because dmoz searches for the title "Laughlin Designs" or url "http://www.snuggledown.com" still return no open directory sites. Is there typically a time delay for new sites to be incorporated into the search index?

Yes, usually the search results are updated weekly, although it can be up to a month at times. The directory pages themselves are updated nightly now, I believe.
