There is no status information to report.

Was the most recent suggestion was a month or more ago? Then you may resubmit once to the single best category and check back again in this same thread after one month.

Or was it suggested less than a month ago? Then please check back in this same thread after it's been a month.

It was over 6 months ago and I enquired about the status at the end of October last year. Are you suggesting that I resubmit the site for inclusion?

I can't follow the train of events in this thread, it appears there is another one somewhere.

We will provide status one month after the last suggestion. If you are 100% positive that it is more than 1 month ago, resubmit and ask again in a month from that date. If you are not sure of when, but are sure it's been suggested, ask again a month from today. If you do know the last date it was suggested, ask a month from that date.

I have no clue why you would be looking to be listed in that category anyway, surely http://dmoz.org/Regional/Caribbean/Dominican_Republic/Localities/Sosua would be a closer fit.

Thanks for that. Would it be better for me to submit the site under http://dmoz.org/Regional/Caribbean/Dominican_Republic/Localities/Sosua or would I loose my positionin the line and have to start all over again.

There is no 'position in line', because there is no 'line'. Suggestions are lumped together in the category they are suggested to, and reviewed in any order the editor wishes, as is which category they work on.

If I review a site in a wrong category, I normally move it to (or closer to) the category it could be listed in. This is what I would expect to occur when someone gets to the current suggestion.

You can get it to the more correct category quicker by suggesting it there yourself [put a note like this on the description saying previously suggested to category xxx in error]
