A submission from 21-Dec awaits review in that category.

Submissions of the same site to categories Kids_and_Teens/School_Time and Kids_and_Teens/School_Time/Homework_Help have been declined for listing by the reviewing editor.

Thanks! One quick question. How do I go about changing the site description for the pending category that I submitted last month? Should i just submit again? The site changed from paid to free, so I think that may have a big impact on the decision.

That is the kind of self-evident changed that any editor will make note of. My personal advice is to wait and see what happens to the site. If it is listed, the editor will most likely rewrite the description you provided. If you have issues after than, you can suggest a change to the wording that may or may not be accepted.

Hi, one month has passed since I submitted on Jan 21st to a few categories for StudentQuestions.com. Could I have a status update again please?

Thanks!

Hello? Did anyone get my message from last week? Or do I have to repost? Thanks. I'll wait a few days for a reply, and then post again if I don't hear from you dudes and dudettes!

Re: Status of http://www.StudentQuestions.com

My apologies... I submitted it to a broad category, and then a more specfic category, and then an even more specific category. Does that constitute duplicate submissions? Thanks!

March 21st, 2004-
Once again, it is the 21st of the month...another month has passed, and I'm requesting another status update. I also have another questions. Editors have noted that i submitted the site more than once (my apologizes again), and rumors have it that this can lead to "red flagging" where the site is marked as "Never accept". Is this true? And is my site "flagged"?

Thanks in advance.

Nobody gives out that sort of info, sorry.

uh-oh.. that sounds ominous :-( What about a status report? Accepted? Pending? Rejected?

Thanks again

Don't let it sound ominous - we just don't answer questions about anything to do with "Flagged". Period. No sense in going into any detail about it so we don't, so you got a very short answer.

About your submission - the category it has been waiting in is a heavily backlogged area of the directory. So much so that I cannot even load the unreviewed on my dial up connection. Someone with broadband is going to have to check your submission status.

With that said, the category is very backlogged so you would save us and yourself a bunch of time if after you get this status check that you change the frequency of your status requests to quarterly instead of monthly.

Have a Great Day and Hope this helps.

Your site is waiting for review in Reference/Education/Products_and_Services. What thehelper says makes a lot of sense given the amount of submissions to the area!

*phew*.. ok, thanks for the info. haha.. that's funny, your dial-up modem can't load all the sites that are waiting to be reviewed. In that case, I will wait until JUNE 2004 before I ask again.

- So my site is waiting for review at: Reference/Education/Products_and_Services. Anywhere else? I submitted my site to (erroneously) several categories. Is there anywhere i can find out?

- Does it mean that if I submit my site at Reference:Education:products and Services, all the subcategories will be considered? Like, if the editor thinks "Hmm.. this site belongs in Reference: Education: Products and Services: Services for Hire instead", he will place it in that category? Or will he just flat out reject it? If the latter, please tell me so that I can submit at a more specific category and reduce the wait time :)

1. Don't submit it again. If you hadn't done multiple submissions, I'd suggest you look through the directory for the best category and submit it there, but, at this point, it would probably be counterproductive for you to resubmit.

2. Editors usually try to find the best placement for a site. If it's under the category it was submitted to, it might be published there, rather than placed in the "waiting for review" area. If it's not, and the editor can figure out where it belongs, it would be moved there, and almost always placed in the "waiting for review" area. If it's not there, and the editor can't figure out where it belongs, it might be moved to an internal "Misplaced" area for a more experienced editor to figure out where it goes.

I've been known to delete a site when I can't figure out where it goes, but it was wrong of me.

Rebumping my thread

Hey,
I think my thread got missed by accident. I'm re-bumping my thread to the top in hopes of being noticed. Once again, I'm requesting a status check after about 6 months (Please see previous post).

Thanks

Sorry, there's been no change in status: it's still awaiting review in [cat=Reference/Education/Products_and_Services/]Reference: Education: Products and Services[/cat]. If you don't see it listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 7 March.

*BUMP*

Hey, it's been another six months! (Wow, time flies). Anyhoo, i need the same site to be checked. I'm thinking of moving the site to another category that could be more related. But i've waited for a looong time already. Any advice?

I think i'll first wait and see if my site is still waiting in this category.
