Status of http://www.waterfallwebdesign.com

I have been trying to have my site ( http://www.waterfallwebdesign.com) included in the OPen Directory since before October 2004, I have tried several regional categories, specifically http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Ireland/Cork/Business_and_Economy/Computers_and_Internet/ and I have also tried http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Dynamic_and_Multimedia/W/.

I have redesigned the site several times and tried as much as I can find guidelines for the open directory, to make sure it adheres to them. My site has been included in Yahoo and several other search engines, but not in the open diectory and I wondered if you can help me by pointing out where I am going wrong, 6 months (nearly) seems a long time to get included.

Thanks for your interest in the ODP. First thing I would recommend is that you stop resubmitting your site. One of the (several) methods for editors to sort sites is by the last submission date - as a newer submission overwrites an older one, this effectively pushes your submission back down the pile.

Rest assured that submissions await editorial review in both of the categories you name.

You really need to do nothing more - you have done all you can. 6 months is far from atypical for the time taken to review a site...
