When was the site most recently submitted? Please read the forum guidelines about the timing of your status request and bump this thread when the time has expired. Thanks. :)

No, your site is not being ignored. It just hasn't been reviewed by an editor yet. From that of course you can infer it has been received. That is your status check. If you don't see it listed before 6 Feb 2005, feel free to bump this thread again. Thanks.

No, we are not even going to look.

You were given a status check on August 6 and specifically told not to return to this forum for another check before 6 Feb 2005.

You just have to wait. you know the category and you are welcome to rows that category as often as you wish -- you just won't get any more status checks until six months have passed.

Your suggestion still awaits review. This time it is dated 17 September. Sole told you on August 9th not to keep submitting. If an editor looks at sites in order suggested, and a few still do, you have bumped yourself way down the list. Given the popularity of that category I think you may still be in for a long wait. You can return here for a further check no earlier that 7 August 2005. Thanks.

Look at the post immediately above your last one. There is your status check.

You are next eligible for a status check six months from now, on or after August 7, 2005.

This is only the wait time between status check, it has nothing to do with how long it takes for an editor to look at your site.

DMOZ has never been, is not, will never be, a listing service for webmasters. It is not our job, is not any part of our concept, to provide in any way shape or form a listing service for webmasters. If anything we are the anti-Christ of listing services for webmasters. We do not exist so webmasters can send us their sites to review and list so webmasters can promote their sites, increase their Google Page Rank, sell their wares, show off to their friends what brilliant web marketing experts they are.

So what are we?

We are a bunch of unpaid volunteers who spend their spare time working on a project to catalog all the unique content on the Internet that we can find. We search the search engines, we write down URLs from the back of buses, we ask whether our dentist has a website. We trawl through pages of links on personal websites and on other directories.

And we invite members of the public to help us with our little project by sending us their suggestions. It is called the Suggest URL feature. It can be the results of their travels around the Internet, something they have seen on the back of a bus, their dentist's website. Or it can be their own site.

We take all the stuff we have found ourselves, and everything suggested to us by the public, and when we have some spare time we look through it at our own pace, listing some, rejecting others, saving the rest for the next time. When you add up all the sources we use there are several billion sites we have yet to review. I would say you were fortunate to be closer than 99.999% of those.

If you want a listing service then there are plenty of them. Yahoo has customer service reps with job descriptions and will review your site in a set period or you can complain about them. Here we don't offer any services to webmasters, sorry.
