www.ciscosavers.com only comes up on a search for canada.

We submitted http://www.ciscosavers.com to DMOZ we are in many open directory search engines and we get lost of traffic for people searching for:

"CANADA"

Is there a way to insure/ change how this site is listed?
ciscosavers.com sells New and used Cisco Networking Hardware.
Is there a better way to list it?
I think that it has been mis catagorized.
can some one please help with this?

Thank you..

-Jason

Hmm, I don't see that it is/ever was listed in the directory at all?? I am not sure what it is you are asking. This thread is for site submission status requests-Please read the Guidelines and if you have indeed submitted your site you can use this thread to properly format a request and someone can check it for you.

We have no control of any search engines or any other users of ODP data. You would have to pose that question to the search engines that you think have mis-categorized you.

I'm not sure what you are saying/asking - ciscosavers.com is not listed in ODP and never was listed - so there is no way you could find it with search.

If you just submitted it, you need to wait a month before posting for status here.

Rejected Jason

Wait a month from the last time you submitted teksavers.com and come back and ask us about that one. Please also note the guidelines on submission of multiple related sites. It is clearly shown in the Suggest URL form along with the potential consequences. If you have submitted any others then now is the time to come clean.

That is totally not fair! It is not the same site!

Why would you do this?
We are changing our model.
teksavers.com is our parrnet company..
We are creating nitch market sites. ciscosavers.com is strictly cisco gear nothing else. There is no reason to reject this site.
We are creating nitch sites for all computer networking hardware.
teksavers.com was here before I was brought on board. We are going to be creating sites for foundry gear for extreme Gear and more. There is no need to reject a site for the reason that you did this. Ciscosavers is just cisco.
Please Help This is compleatly not fair..

Jason, you are already in breach of DMOZ guidelines and if you are thinking of submitting any more "niche" sites you will almost certainly incur sanctions beyond the rejection of the sites suggested.

Look at the conditions on any Suggest URL form:

Multiple submissions of the same or related sites may result in the exclusion and/or deletion of those and all affiliated sites.

Sites belonging to the same company and dealing in related fields are related sites. That is the beginning, the middle, and the end of the story. You may not consider them related because they sell different product lines but in our definition they are related, and our definition is all that counts.

You are right though, it wasn't the main teksavers.com, it was another of the niche sites - your teksavers.com email address confused things. You may, if you wish, suggest the main teksavers.com URL, as the one and only possible listing your company might conceivable get. But if all the products are cut out then there will be little content left to consider and, if even you don't link to the niche sites, why on earth would we think them important enough.

Jason, we are willing to consider listing a corporate site for a corporation. We are not, repeat not (repeat as many times as necessary) willing to list ANY niche marketing sites. This is not negotiable. This is a staff edict that we could not change if we wanted to.

We are giving you the most help we can: we are trying to keep you from committing ODP suicide. But we cannot stop you if you are determined. The gun (blatant violations of the submittal policies) is in your hand. Bite the bullet, don't shoot it.
