No change in status.

As for the second question, you should have first asked, "Is someone actually monitoring who's really reviewing that category?"

And, upon being told "No--that would be a waste of valuable editor time, wouldn't it?", you'd have known not to ask your actual question.

Sorry if the last question seemed dumb, but I don't fully understand how this review process works or the number of sites that are waiting to be reviewed.
I just thought since it been almost a year and nobody has looked at our site that maybe nobody was monitor that category.

Also If you read our whole thread you will notice that we submited under one category but at some point one of the reviewers said it is waiting for review under another. I guess my question is why is that? Did we submit it to the wrong category?

We are a service and I notice other sites that do the offer a similar service as us for example www.leagueboss.com our listed in the category that we orginally submited to. There are a lot less sites under this category and I thought maybe it would be easier to get reviewed in it.

I don't mean to waste anyones time, It just that Golf Season is almost upon us and we wanted to get ranked as high as possible by the search engines for this coming season. I appreciate all the reviewers help and apologies if I am being a pain.

Thanks again,

Paul

You're not being a pain, so please don't worry about that - you are asking legitimate questions.

I would suggest you take a look at the FAQ both on this forum and in the ODP for more background as to how the editorial process works, and why it can take a long time for a suggestion to get reviewed.

You will also see how there is a reasonably-sized pool of editors who can look at ANY submission and review it. It depends very much on the editor's comfort level at listing sites in that category.

If the suggestion got moved from one category to another, it was because the editor that looked at it felt it belonged better in that other category, and moved the suggestion there, for another editor to look at. It doesn't mean you made a mistake - often trying to understand the various categories and how they are structured takes some very detailed knowledge of the ODp which probably only an editor would interest themselves in (or an ODP-geek, I suppose - never heard of too many of those that didn't have some sort of self-interest in the work).

So please hang tight. You are welcome to ask for an update again at least 6 months after your last request, which would make it after August 26th. Please re-use this thread to do so.

Thanks for your interest,
