Status of potereweb.com

Hi there,

not sure if I am in the right place... please bear with me if I am not.

I submitted my site few weeks ago (sorry cannot be more accurate) in the Computer Internet-Hosting directory, but it is not showing up yet.

I am sure I did not use any commercial description, nor my site is under construction. What did I do wrong?

It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong. (Aside from being impatient.)

You should read our FAO which explains the delays involved.

It's not an automatic submission and listing. The submissions are all reviewed individually by editors who determine whether or not we want to add your site to the directory, and if so how we want to word it.

We are building a reliable source of information for people. Unfortunately we can't trust all the people to submit sites to follow our guidelines so we review the submissions ourselves and that takes time.

I will wait "forever" as it says in FAQ then .

Maybe some overhead could be avoided if people could track down their submission without asking (which waste editors' time to reply..).

A simple db with site name and status, and maybe submission date should do the trick... don't you agree?

Unfortunately things are seldom as simple as they seem...

I won't pretend I understand all the problems with such an approach. However, it's not that we can't do it, but we are worried about what would happen if we did. (Such as robots monitoring the database constantly and sending us more spam the second a site was rejected.)
