Status of reinstatement request?

After being out of the circuit for quite a while due to a serious lack of available time, I have sent a reinstatement request about 10 days ago. Any idea where it stands?

Did you mean an email on the subject was sent to me? I definitely haven't received anything.

I don't know what to tell you. What was your editor login name? I can look to see if the request was processed. I _thought_ that all actions were emailed to you, accept or reject. Maybe I'm wrong on that.

I note Shrike's Profile shows shrike as editor name, whose reinstate request was processed on 10 Jul 02.

kctipton and sabre23t - thanks! Since the request was processed on July 10th and I still can't login, I guess my request must have been rejected. Strange. I know that one is not supposed to ask in this forum about the specific reasons for rejection, so I won't. I just have a more general question: can a rejection occur because of a technical issue? (for example - it says in the reinstatement form "Your e-mail address should match the e-mail you used as an editor.", and I gave the last email address I used as editor, the_shrike@email.com, which wasn't the one I originally became editor with).
