Ok, they are 2 problems:

1. Why did you suggested your site twice?
2. In what category you suggested the site?

The Open Directory search is temporarily unavailable. Please try back later.
No Open Directory Project results found.

2. I am almost 100% sure I posted here: Top: Health: Resources: Professional: Chats and Forums

The URL is for me. I can therefore tell you the site is waiting for review there.

Right.
Wrong, we don't need to review sites to do site reviews. So I can't really speak good or ill of it.

There are several thousand editors working today. Nobody on earth knows what they are about to do next.

The calculable chances are the same for any site we find (whether or not it was by a submittal). Think of it as a lottery, with several thousand winning tickets daily. If you fill out an entry form (submit a site), it stays in effect until it is drawn.

I've submitted another site and It was approved in 3 weeks and I am still waiting this one for the last 4 months. I do not want to be a pain and I understand the "calculable chances" but do you think it will happen in my time on earth?

Also, does dmoz has any kind of special policy about sites on this topic?

Thanks in advance

The answer is the same as last time.

The ODP faces the same problems you do with web searches on this subject. The vast vast majority of the sites are illegal in the U.S.; the vast vast majority of them also contain no unique content anyway. We'd have banned the whole lot except that we know there are a handful of legitimate companies in the buiness -- we even know some of their names.

But as for picking out the few gems -- it's an extremely difficult and highly unproductive work (in terms of gems found per kiloton of rancid spam).

Wherever that is true, editors find other subjects where their work will be more productive and more rewarding. And, yes, policies often get tighter.

If you want a practical answer to your question, rather than vague philosophical rambling and generic hypothetizing, here it is:

Assume the ODP doesn't exist. Assume the ODP will never list your site. Take responsibility for your own business, and act accordingly.

Very possibly, on the day that you say, "I no longer need the ODP; my site is generally recognized as the foremost center of worldwide research and education on this subject," an ODP editor will say, "The ODP needs this site; the ODP can no longer be considered comprehensive without linking to it."

Our timing is not always that good, but we do our best.

Thanks and I think you made very clear right now whats the ODP approval policy about this kind of site on this industry:

When the ODP feels listing my site is needed it to keep be considered comprehensive then you will link to my site.

I'd call it a "backwards approval policy" but I truly respect your decision.

Once again, I hope this will happen on my time on earth.
