This information was also requested before resource-zone crashed.
I apologise for any inconvenience caused, as I did not recieve a reply before the Crash.

Any information at all would be appreciated.

The crash also re-set the 'unread' counters, so several posts have been missed. Sorry about that.

rimba.co.uk had been accidentally sorted into the wrong part of our spam filter. I've rescued it and sent it to Adult/Shopping/Clothing, where it's waiting for an editor to come along and review it.

Right now, If I go to rimba.co.uk/ and click on "Go Shopping", I get sent to a store setup page. You'd better sort that out pronto before an editor sees it and assumes your site is broken.

videoshack.co.uk made it through the filters untouched, and it's now sitting in the queue waiting patiently.

Thanks for that.

The www.Rimba.co.uk site is working fine for me.
I just checked it.

Very Unusual. <img src="/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />
It goes to our LOADING Page and works as it should.
We have been recieving orders all day.

I will look into it again.
Thanks for your help.

Maybe it's because I'm refusing the cookies. Some poorly designed shopping carts get fussy about things like that.

Thanks

Your help is appreciated.

With regards to the URL, I thought that by using the long one that it would be considered too key word intense that is why I opted for the small direct domain/site name URL.

I would be happier if they used the larger one.
I will leave it to the editor.

Many Thanks

Tigermanz.

They're both still waiting in those categories. However I found both sites waiting in this category the other day: http://dmoz.org/Adult/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business/Shopping

When I reviewed Rimba I had some issues with the order form which I let you know about via PM. Most issues with navigation within a site can be overlooked, but in this case the errors were significant enough to make navigation a pain in the butt for the surfer (the errors involved the surfer being thrown back to the front page).

Can anyone advise on these URLs?
The thread has gone to the bottom of the page since my last post over a week ago.

Thanks

All editors that have participated in this thread have access to that category.

Status is still the same, I'm afraid.

Thanks Jez,

Maybe if they got time, could one of those editors possibly give them a quick glance and maybe review them?

From what I can gather from reading through the forum, these editors (who are higher up the ladder - such as yourself) are permitted to do that.

And that not only the editor(s) of the categories concerned can edit, add or remove sites to and from those categories but those "higher up the ladder" can do it as well.

It would be appreciated, if some one had the time.

With Thanks and continued appreciation.

:)

I've had the time to check on the video site, and I'm not inclined to list at this time.

http://www.adult-dvds-adult-videos-uk.co.uk
http://www.videolist.co.uk
http://www.videoshack.co.uk
http://www.vid-shop.com
http://www.vidshop.com
http://www.vidshops.com

(I'll bet that there are others...)

-- all have an interlinked history, not all of it good. It looks like vidshop.com is listed already. This other stuff will just have to be ignored.

As for the rimba site, why does it take me to http://www.adult-sexy-erotic-lingerie-rubber-leather-rimba-clothing.co.uk/ ?? I'd say that you aren't gonna get it listed with stunts like that, either.

Go spam somewhere else and leave ODP alone please.

Vidshop has nothing to do with us.
They are base in Amsterdam, we are in the UK.
We once had an affiliate deal with them, that was it.
Everything on our site, we sell and ship from our depot in the UK.

The only video site we are looking listed is

www.videoshack.co.uk this is our own business site the others can go to pot for all I care.

With Regards to
http://www.adult-sexy-erotic-lingerie-rubber-leather-rimba-clothing.co.uk/

Jezebel will confirm that we had a discussion via PM (26/07/03 &amp; 27/07/03) about this.
We submitted an un-Keyword listed URL (Rimba.co.uk) as we thought the main one was keyword spammy and would not be listed.
She said that the keyword one would be listed as it holds the site... We thought that we were doing somthing good by not listing our Keyword infested URL.

You will also see throughout the design of our site that www.Rimba.co.uk URL is used extensively in arwork and as a greeting as you enter the site.

Senox also wrote as above:
==============================================
BTW, concerning rimba.co.uk you should have submitted the real URL http://www.adult-sexy-erotic-lingerie-rubber-leather-rimba-clothing.co.uk/ , not the frameset one. If your site is accepted, then only with the real URL. No need to resubmit, the editor who reviews your site will change that.

I appreciate where you are comming from, and yes mistakes were made by us before in the past.
Does this still make things stay the same, thorough the length of time that we have been waiting to have a site listed, companies and individuals change.

People get to know how things work, how not to do things and spamming the DMOZ Directory is not what we do.
It would not benefit us at all, would it?

I now hope you understand where we are comming from.
Now tell us where we have gone wrong and how do we rectify it?

We wish to be listed on The Open Directory, so we will work as we have been to be listed.

Thanks
