Since the last suggestion date was in January, you should come back to this thread 1 full month after the last day you suggested it and ask again.

Do you really cover the entire United States, or is there a more specific geographic focus to your activity? (If so, consider a submittal to a Locality category in Regional. We'll clean up the overkill later.)

Regarding the entire United States. I followed the tree to where it stopped. I agree adding another link to Washington like the others would be helpful.

If this is done the Washington Kiwanis Clubs (2-3) currently in the Unites States folder would have to be moved.

Appreciate that assist...

Well, now if you're going to go making _constructive_ suggestions, you'll distract editors from jabbering in the forum.

As it happened, I meant starting from Regional (not Society) and drilling down all the way to your Locality Society&Culture subcategory, and submitting there also. The site might be eligible for two listings.

The 1-month thing is for getting a status check here in this forum. Submitting to the Regional locality category should be done now, not in a month. In a month we could give you a status on the original submission but not the other -- you'd have to wait another month for that one.

Kiwanis Submission Status

Greetings,

I was wondering if our club was approved to be added to the following two directories?

1.http://dmoz.org/Society/Organizations/Service_Clubs/Kiwanis/Clubs/United_States/

2.http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Washington/Localities/M/Mount_Vernon/

I would like to state that whoever cleaned up the Kiwanis/United States link on your site by placing the clubs into individual states was well done...Looks very organized...

Anyway, any assistance you can give in placing our Kiwanis Club http://www.skagitmountvernonkiwanis.org/ on the above two sites is greatly appreciated.

You may ask for status no earlier than 6 months from the last status report.

Kiwanis is, so I understand, a public service organization. Reckon there's someone in the organization public-spirited enough to take on the job of building up those categories? Not with just their own site, but with all those of fellow-organizations they can find?

They need to be comfortable with formal written English and style standards. And an hour a week would make a difference in the representation of Kiwanis on the web -- and in communities.

Put the word out, would you, please?
